Fortuna is a key-word in Virgilian spirtuality. In fact it wavers in his poetry between the positive idea of the ancient Roman goddess, fair towards pious and worthy people, and the worrying Hellenistic Tyhe, symbl of inconstancy and anguish, and so finishes by revealing the whole ambivalence of Virgil's Weltanschaaung.
