Abstract

As nurses strive to increase the quality and cost-effectiveness of their care, wound management must include consideration of the nutritional health of the individual and the implications of the wound for nutritional requirements. Time and money spent on expensive dressings may otherwise be wasted and the recovery time of the individual may be prolonged.
