Abstract

Accountability has assumed a higher profile in these changing times and clearly this multifaceted concept is inextricably linked to professionalization. In addition, major changes have taken place in nurse education, resulting in role changes for the nurse teacher. Consequently, nurse teachers will have to examine more closely the many facets of accountability.
