Water sorption behavior of polysaccharides.

Abstract

デンプンをもととし, そのカルボキシメチル化及びアクリル酸とのグラフト共重合生成物を作製し, それらの吸湿, 吸水挙動について検討した. デシケーター法による吸湿性の測定結果から, いずれの試料も初期の増加率が著しく, ほぼ15-20日間で平衡となった. 平衡時における各々の吸湿曲線はシグモイド型を示した. さらに, 相対湿度40%までの条件下の各試料の値には B. E. T. 理論が成り立った. 1グルコシド繰返し単位当たりの単分子吸着量はG (S-AA) が7.37分子, G (CMS-AA) が4.69分子, CMSが0.73分子であった. また, デンプン誘導体ならびにキサンタンガム, カラヤガム, 及びグアガムなどガム質についても吸水性を検討した. 吸水率はフィルム化した試料の厚さの増加率を膨潤率として求めた. 各試料共に, tとt/hの間に直線関係がみられ, ロビンソン速度式が成り立った. さらに切片と勾配から膨潤初速度 (V0) と平衡膨潤度 (h∞) が算出された. 平衡膨潤度はデンプン誘導体ではG (S-AA) が18-20 mm/mm, ガム質ではキサンタンガムが28-36 mm/mmと最高の値であった. CMSとキトサンの橋かけ物の場合, キトサンに対しそのIO-40 mol 比のCMSから成る組成フィルムは, 高い平衡膨潤度 (約20-26 mm/mm) を示した.
