Architectural competitions are an important learning process for the architects who take part in them. These competitions constitute one of the main areas of research and inquiry, irrespective of success, as those which are not submitted also serve in the learning of techniques tried by others, through the study of published proposals. In this paper we investigate the propositional capacities of non-winning submissions in which buildings and urban planning attempt to construct new places that transcend form, creating an undetermined and experimental space.
