Abstract

The Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS) is a government research institute under the Danish Ministry of Environment and Energy, and as such acts as government advisor on matters relating to oil and gas exploration and production. GEUS also offers its services on a commercial basis and, in the spring of 1996, was awarded a contract by a major Norwegian petroleum company to map a number of horizons in the Danish and Norwegian North Sea.
