Role models are crucial to the success of all youth. Handicapped individuals in particular can benefit from the opportunity to witness the success of others who are disabled. One of the Jobs Project's major goals is to develop and disseminate descriptions of a range of jobs currently held by individuals who are handicapped. We suggest that this information be used by instructors, rehabilitation counselors, and other human service personnel to expand the career horizons not only of individuals who are disabled, but also their families, potential employers, and other educators and human service workers.
