Abstract

This hearing survey was performed at the Kentucky Training Home, Frankfort, Kentucky. The authors wish to express their appreciation to A. M. Lyon, superintendent, L. F. Boland, medical director, and Ashley Mixson, psychologist, for their valuable assistance. 208 institutionalized, mentally retarded children and adults with a view toward recommending specific audiometric techniques for the special education teacher, clinical psychologist, pediatrician, otologist, audiologist, school nurse, audiometric technician, and others interested in pure tone audiometry
