
Efficacy of venom from tentacle of jellyfishStomolophus meleagrisagainst the cotton bollwormHelicoverpa armigerawas determined. Venom from tentacle of jellyfishStomolophus meleagriscould inhibit the growth ofHelicoverpa armigeraand the weight inhibiting rate of sample NFr-2 was 60.53%. Of the six samples, only NFr-2 had high insecticidal activity againstHelicoverpa armigeraand the corrected mortality recorded at 7 d was 74.23%.
