
Nuclear power forecasts and projected growths of nuclear power in the United States to 1980 are reviewed. Reactor inventory and burnup requirements and distribution of reactor types are tabulated The production rates to 1980 in the United States and the reserves of nuclear materials in the world are given. The capital costs of first-generation and prototype power plants are summarized. Fuel cycle costs in various solid-fuel and liquid-fuel reactors are presented. (C.J.G.)
