
This paper, which may interest any professional staff members who work with documentation and/or web development and design, or who offer help desk support, will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of both paper and on-line documentation. It will also discuss several specific examples of the documentation that the Division of the Chief Information Officer (formerly known as Computing & Information Services) currently makes available to Rensselaer's users, both in hardcopy and on-line format.
