Abstract

Collections made from 1927 to 1930 inclusive gave 29 species, making a total of 36 for the region, of which 10 are only in the bay and 12 only in the strait. Of the 36 species, none are new, all being generally distributed in northern waters. Two of them have not been listed in papers on North American hydroids. One of these, however, Hydractinia carica Bergh has been reported from Davis strait. The other species, Coryne vermicularis Hincks, has not been reported nearer than Shetland islands and Iceland.
