Abstract

PREVIOUSLY TA LI [5] CONSIDERED THE PROBLEM of an inversion integral for a certain integral transformation involving Chebyshev polynomials. Similar cases which include the Legendre polynomials [1] and the Gegenbauer (ultraspheric) polynomials [3] have also been treated. We here present the case of integral transformations which contain the Legendre functions, Pv', or the Legendre function on the cut, Pv'; i.e. we consider the equations
