Abstract

This paper presents some of the aspects involved in the selection of the thermodynamic cycle for CAES power generating systems. It also presents several of the considerations involved in fitting turbomachinery to the cycle, including arrangement and operation. A typical set of economic criteria is used to illustrate a method of cycle optimization.
