Abstract

Abstract— The anatomy of the teeth is described and the pathology of dental disease in the dog is reviewed. Particular reference is given to periodontal disease, maxillary dento alveolar abscess, epulis, caries, persistent temporary dentition, enamel hypoplasia, tissue neoplasms around die teeth, injuries and dental anomalies.Résumé— L'anatomie et la pathologie des maladies dentaires chez le chien sont revues. Mention particulière est faite aux maladies du périostite, abcès du maxillaire dento alvéolaire, épulis, caries, dentition temporaire persistante, hypoplasie de l'émail, néoplasma des tissus autour des dents, blessures et anomalies dentaires.Zusammenfassung— Es wird die Anatomie und Pathologie von Zahnleiden bei Hunden überblickt. Besonders wird auf periodentale Affektionen, Kiefer‐alveolodentale Abszesse, Zahnfleischge‐schwulsten, Karies, hartnáckigen temporáren Zahndurchbruch, Zahnschmelzhypoplasie, Geschwulst bildungen um die Zähne herum, Verletzungen und dentale Anomalien hingewiesen.
