Microstrip delay lines employing the phenomenon of Kinetic inductance have several potential advantages for analog signal processing. These properties will be discussed and contrasted with other delay line technologies. Several kinetic inductance microstrip delay lines have been fabricated using niobium, niobium nitride and various dielectrics. These devices have been measured with both transient and time harmonic signals. The results of these tests are compared to theoretical predictions and some estimation of expected device performance is made.
