A Study on Sustainable Development Goal 7: Future Plan to Achieve the Affordable and Clean Energy-Bangladesh Perspective
The Sustainable Development Goals 2030, titled “Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” with 17 goals and 169 targets, were adopted by 193 member states at the UN in September 2015. Here this SDG covers the wide agendas which are not cover in the MDGs. The uniqueness of SDG is universality and integrity. SDG 7 states to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. Bangladesh has adopted SDGs and aims for hundred percent access of electricity by 2021. For enhancement of renewable energy share and access to clean cooking by 2030, the GoB has formulated different action to achieve it. However, this paper focused the future implementation plan taken by the GoB to achieve affordable and clean energy by 2030.
