Abstract

The effects of antenna VSWR on stereo left-right channel separation of a FM broadcasting station were investigated. The results of these tests were significant and indicate that the transmitting antenna VSWR for ±200 KC must be low. They also indicate that if the rest of the system from studio to the output of the stereo receiver is fixed, a change in the transmitting antenna VSWR will affect the stereo separation.
