PSpice Modeling of Three-Phase Transformer

Abstract

PSpice is being used as a simulation tool for analysis and design of power electronic circuits. A transformer is an integral part of power electronic equipment and it is usually the input stage of a high power converter. A good model of the transformer is needed to evaluate the performance parameters of power converters. The non-linear characteristic of a magnetic circuit makes modeling complicated. This paper presents four models of three-phase transformers, which are used to evaluate the performances of a three-phase diode rectifier.
