The design of photovoltaic radar target simulator

Abstract

In this study we proposed a set of the design for the photovoltaic radar target simulator to test photovoltaic radar performance, specifically used for accurately testing photovoltaic radar's detecting, capturing the target and tracking the infrared targets. We focused on photovoltaic radar target simulator motion control parts and software's design, and then simplified the composition and principles of photovoltaic radar target simulator. We took advantage of SCM to control the brightness changes of infrared light, which can simulate the external environment, the motive components was controlled by motion control card and designed as two dimension plane, which can drive infrared target source to move broadly. Proved by the experiment, the entire system is stable and reliable.
