Photovoltaic panels characteristics under shadows

Abstract

In this paper electrical characteristics of photovoltaic panel under different weather conditions and under partial shading conditions are presented. We use two methods, the forst a mathematical one using Matlab-Simulink and the second one is an experimental method based on LabVIEW Software. We made a comparison between the results obtained under the two methods. Obtained results show how the shading can effect on the efficiency of photovoltaic panels and the experimental results follow the simulation ones.
