Integrated single stage standalone solar PV inverter

Abstract

The proposed Integrated Single Stage Standalone Solar PV Inverter (IS4 PVI), converts the output from the PV panel directly to AC, while maintaining the output voltage constant. The efficiency of the inverter is improved by minimizing the voltage drop across the inductor. The switching loss in this circuit is minimized by operating one power switch in high frequency. Optimization tool is used to find the suitable inductance value in the power circuit with minimum voltage drop and higher efficiency. A hardware setup for 220V, 50Hz, 700W solar inverter is arranged using 1KW solar system and 100Ah, 12V battery to generate 50Hz sinusoidal voltage with constant magnitude
