Switched capacitor converters have become an alternative for high gain power conversion. The ladder switched capacitor cell is used for voltage multiplying and, when associated with other conventional converters in hybrid topologies, it does not need any additional controlled switches for the cell. There are solutions in literature for the steady state modeling, however some parasitic elements, such as the diode threshold voltage, are not considered in most analysis. This paper proposes the steady state modeling of a voltage multiplier ladder switched capacitor cell including major parasitic elements. The proposed model can be used for efficiency analysis and to determine project specifications.
