Inventory of land use by remote sensing is in many cases associated with electromagnetic waves, originating from spacecraft or airplane, on dielectric cylinder arrays. In models or laboratory measurement many natural targets like cereals or coniferous trees may be represented by lossy dielectric cylinders Ill. Depending on the polarization the incident wave is partly transmitted, partly reflected by the dielectric cylinders. The transmitted portion of the wave is subject to reflection by the underlying soil. Both reflected signals superpose and form the received signal. In this paper the characteristics of the transmitted signal, concerning the polarization dependency as a function of the dielectric properties and the size and orientation of cylinders are studied.
citations This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0
popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average
