Fuzzy based incremental conductance algorithm for PV system

Abstract

This paper presents application of incremental conductance using platform of fuzzy logic for solar photovoltaic (PV) system. Incremental conductance (IC) is one of the conventional maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm. Conventional algorithm brings drawbacks in terms of ripples and accuracy of the output power generated by PV system. Using IC based fuzzy logic attenuates the problems present in conventional IC algorithm. Using fuzzy logic dynamic response of PV system is improved. For simulation specifications of TATA BP1235 PV panel are considered. Fuzzy based MPPT shows significant reduction in ripple content of the signal.
