
Telepresence is one of the emerging fields in robotics. The objective of the work is to enhance the Telepresence Robot to Telepresence Robot Doctor which can allow direct connection to medical sensors, such as electronic heart pulse rate sensors and temperature sensor for transmitting medical data to the remote physician. The physician can thus discuss mode of treatment and can communicate with patients remotely. This helps to improve the efficiency of medical diagnosis and treatment plans during non-life threatening emergencies. This project has contributed in the doctor-robot interface where the doctor/user can control the robot reliably via regular internet connection from a different location.
