Electric mobility is getting an increasingly important role in urban mobility, due to the pollution and the rising cost of fossil fuels. The City of Florence, with over 100 charging stations throughout the territory and 1700 circulating electric vehicles, has a significant pioneering experience in Italy. Today, Municipality of Florence has renewed its fleet with 70 electric vehicles for the internal work displacement of employees, has implemented the interoperable network for electric vehicles and has issued licenses for electric taxis. Florence is an example of the concrete and structured development of sustainable mobility with zero emissions.
