Integrated Bluetooth Superwideband Antenna with Triple Band Notch Characteristcs for Wideband Wireless Applications

Abstract

In this manuscript, Superwideband antenna with triple notched band characteristics is presented. Proposed antenna is also integrated with Bluetooth wireless application system. Radiating patch and rectangular ground plane covers bandwidth ratio of 20.33:1 (2.41GHz-49.3GHz). First and Second notch, WiMAX (3.30GHz-3.80GHz) & WLAN (5.150GHz- 5.825GHz) are obtained by etching semicircular and C-shaped slot on radiating patch. Third interfering band, Satellite Downlink System (7.25GHz-7.75GHz) is removed by placing parasitic elements near microstrip feed line. Proposed antenna also features integrated Bluetooth which is obtained by embedding stub with radiating patch. Antenna is compact in size occupying 25*25*0.787 mm3 and maximum gain of 5.62dBi. Antenna also shows good radiation pattern in operating band making it good candidate for various wireless applications.
