A Fuzzy and comprehensive evaluation model for developing teaching evaluation

Abstract

Aiming at problematic fact of the traditional teaching evaluation and imperfection of evaluating indicator system, this research designed and testified the validity of a developing teaching evaluation model based on Fuzzy and Comprehensive Evaluation. By domestic and international relevant research of teaching evaluation, the paper outlined the connotation, the essential features, the significance, the bases and the principle of developable teaching evaluation. Based on the principles of system engineering, it first established a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, according to the model, through an argumentation performed by experts and with the use of Delphi method the authors have set up a multi hierarchy comprehensive evaluation index system for teachers and students, and calculated the index weight by analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method, and the procedures and method for model comprehensive evaluation were also determined. In addition, it converted the initial evaluation composite index into a defined interval by the stand map method.
