
This article presents an actual optimization problem focusing on home energy optimization in households with private solar panels. The theoretical aspects behind this optimization problem are presented as well. A mathematical description of the home energy optimization problem and a possible solving algorithm is given. The way of modeling and implementation using real data is also shortly described. The results of the optimization will show that following a simple algorithm can optimize the daily routine of residents to minimize their daily energy bill.
