In this paper, a novel ultra wideband compact size hybrid rectangular step dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is proposed. The aim from the design process is to get an ultra wide impedance bandwidth with stable radiation pattern through the operating frequency. The entire simulation results have been obtained by using CST simulation software. Measured results illustrate that the proposed DRA has a 10 dB impedance bandwidth of 122.58% from 6 GHz to 25 GHz.
