
This paper proposes a voltage equalizer using flyback converter with active clamp. This novel voltage equalizer is able to reduce the power losses. An active clamp circuit is used as an auxiliary circuit to achieve zero voltage switching (ZVS). Simulation results with PSIM and experimental results are shown. The proposed circuit is confirmed to be more power-efficient with ZVS than the conventional voltage equalizer using flyback converter.
