Narrow-band Internet of Things (NB-IoT), one of the emerging paradigms of low power wide area networks (LPWAN) for Internet of Things (IoT), has been envisioned as a promising solution to enable massive connectivity, cost-efficient, and highly reliable Internet of Thing (IoT) systems in future smart cities. In this work, we build up an indoor environment-temperature monitoring system based on NB-IoT. We present a detailed design of our system and illustrate the key technologies. Based on our system and the collected data (i.e., the temperature data), we further design an abnormality-detection mechanism based on the support vector machine (SVM). We provide experimental results to show the performance of our designed system and the proposed abnormality-detection mechanism.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 2 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
