The Osona West project is the first in Namibia, which attempts to integrate various energy related components for a residential and business project. Based on experiences from several projects in Namibia, the paper will highlight features, such as a mini-grid and stand-alone units, as part of applying renewable energy principles and technologies to make the green village as energy self-sufficient as possible.
