Abstract

THE Westland Aircraft Co., of Yeovil, is one of the firms whose entry into the aircraft industry dates back to the times when a few enthusiasts were trying to prove it possible to fly with a heavier‐than‐air machine, and Mr. Bruce, the managing director, was one of the early pioneers of this movement.
