The proliferation of product lines needing temperature control; increased frequency of deliveries; distribution shifting more and more into the hands of retailers; the place of the independent contractor, were just some of the topics covered in a paper given at a recent conference on important developments and issues within food retailing. And here we have chosen to highlight the points made by Freddie Craig, managing director of Christian Salvesen's distribution division. The conference was held towards the end of last year and arranged by the Institute for International Research.
