Abstract

When considering what information is available to school-leavers regarding their further education and employment, a most important link in the chain is the Youth Employment Service, run by the local education authority. Here, Mr Ahier outlines the careers guidance programme in use in Southampton and places emphasis on the advisory capacity of the YEO.
