Fifth-formers have found Vauxhall's one-week preview of life and work in industry a real help in forming their ideas about jobs. The scheme has now been extended to sixth-formers. Boys are selected by their schools — not by the company — and the week's work seems to get down to industrial realities in some depth. The author was till recently in Vauxhall's Education Division
