Abstract

In den letzten Jahren wurde das Problem der Anregung von gegenseitig abhängigen Zuständen atomarer Strahlungssysteme mit nachfolgender Emission einer spontanen kohärenten Strahlung von besonderer Wichtigkeit. Speziell die Erforschung der magnetischen Kernresonanz wurde dadurch gefördert (siehe \textit{E. L. Hahn} [Phys. Rev., II. Ser. 77, 297 (1950); 80, 580 (1950)]). Die gewöhnliche Behandlung dieses Prozesses war eine klassische, basierend auf einem Spinsystem in einem magnetischen Feld. Zweck der vorliegenden Arbeit ist eine Verallgemeinerung dieser Ergebnisse auf irgendein System von Strahlern mit magnetischem oder elektrischem Dipolübergang und die Untersuchung der bei einer quantenmechanischen Behandlung des Strah\-lungsvorganges möglicherweise auftretenden Effekte. Der Verf. betrachtet das Gas insgesamt als ein einzelnes quantenmechanisches System und bestimmt Energieniveaus entsprechend gewissen Beziehungen zwischen den verschiedenen Molekülen. Dabei führt die spontane Emission von Strahlung bei einem Übergang zwischen zwei solchen Niveaus zur Emission einer kohärenten Strahlung. Die Diskussion wird zuerst auf ein Gas beschränkt, dessen Dimension klein ist im Vergleich zur Wellenlänge. Bei einem Gas größerer Ausdehnung wird die Wirkung des Photon-Rückstoßimpulses u.a. auch auf die Kohärenz erörtert. Abschließend behandelt der Verf. die Winkelkorrelation zwischen aufeinanderfolgenden Photonen, die von einem anfänglich in thermischem Gleichgewicht befindlichen Gas spontan emittiert werden.
