Abstract This chapter provides the facilitator materials for Session 5 of the Juvenile Justice Anger Management (JJAM) Treatment for Girls. This session is about recognizing anger. The session primarily aims to teach the girls about the different physical reactions people have when they get angry. The girls are encouraged to think about how their bodies react to anger by identifying body parts where they can feel themselves getting angry, referred to as hot spots. The session’s catch phrase is “Getting angry is a clue that there’s something you need to do.” The goal sheet addresses the girls’ need to pay attention to how their bodies react to anger by identifying body parts where they can feel themselves getting angry.
