Abstract This test was conducted at the North Alabama Horticulture Substation, Cullman. Tomato transplants were set on Jun 24. Plots consisted of 3 rows, 25 ft long (88-in centers), with 5-ft alleys. A completely randomized field-plot design was used with 4 replications of each of 12 treatments. Sprays were initiated when fruit began to mature. Applications were made weekly on Aug 15, 21, 29, Sep 4, 11, 18 and 26. All applications were made with a Super Blue Boy 6000 high clearance sprayer delivering 71 gal of spray per acre at 250 psi. Tomatoes were harvested 4 times (Sep 26 and 30, Oct 3 and 10). Data were taken from the middle row of each plot. All fruits were examined visually, and dissected when necessary, to determine damage by the fruitworm or pin worm.
