The purpose of this note is to provide a positive answer to a question posed by Gay [ Diffeomorphisms of the 4-sphere, cerf theory and montesinos twins , Preprint, arXiv: 2102.12890 , 2021], as well as Hughes, Kim, and Miller [ Knotted handlebodies in the 4-sphere and 5-ball , Preprint, arXiv: 2111.13255 , 2021] regarding smooth embeddings of the 3 3 -ball in the 4 4 -sphere becoming isotopic relative to the bounding 2 2 -sphere when pushed into the 5 5 -ball.
