High angular resolution observations were made of the CS emission from the core of the L1551 molecular cloud, using a technique of heavy oversampling and maximum entropy reconstruction. The observations are consistent with the data published by Kaifu et al. in 1984 and Batrla and Menten in 1985, but show no evidence for a large rotating molecular disk as proposed by Kaifu et al. The chaotic morphology and kinematics are more suggestive of the disruption of the dense core by the collimated winds from IRS 5. 11 references.
