The global structure of the magnetosphere of rotation-powered pulsars is studied by analyzing a large-scale magnetospheric curent system. We assume that this current system forms a DC circuit which includes the electromotive source of the rotating neutron star and three loads : the outer gap, the pair-plasma wind, and the inner gap. First we construct local models for the three parts of the magnetosphere (the two gaps and the wind) with adjustable free parameters, and next we link them to a global model by imposing global link conditions.
