Stellar rates for the reaction /sup 45/Sc(p,..gamma..)/sup 46/Ti have been calculated from new experimental data. The problem of properly allowing for the contribution of excited states to the stellar rate is discussed and resolved. This problem arises from the existence of low-lying isomeric level in /sup 45/Sc.
