Since Michelson invented the Fourier transform spectrometer in the 1880s, Fourier transform spectroscopy hasbeen developedinto diverse forms. Ithasbecomeapowerful andsensitive toolin chemical analysis andis widely used in astronomy, physics, physical chemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, and environmental protection, as well as in optics and optical engineering.
