Abstract

AbstractThe author, who regards large reservoirs on plains streams as wasteful from the point of view of resource utilization, weighs the proposed construction of the Lower Ob' hydroelectric station and the flooding of a large part of the West Siberian Plain against integrated utilization of the region's resources, including agriculture, lumbering, fisheries, and the newly discovered oil and gas deposits.
