The apparent organic matter digestibility of ewes milk by young lambs was not affected by level of intake, length of lactation, or age of the lambs. The high levels of apparent organic matter digestibility 369 obtained were consistent with a true digestibility of 100 per cent when allowance was made for faecal products of metabolic origin. A depression in the apparent dry matter digestibility with increase in age of the lambs was due to an increase in faecal ash.
