Study on Co∕Pt Multilayer with Isothermal Annealing

Co/Pt multilayer system has been grown using Ion beam sputtering process. The multilayer system has been vacuum annealed at various temperatures. The structural and magnetic properties have been investigated by using X‐ray reflectivity, X‐ray diffraction and magneto optical Kerr effect. It has been observed that thermal annealing results in the partial transformation of fcc CoPt phase to fct CoPt phase.
