Recentiy fiber optics have been used to record the spectral shape of optical emission lines from plasmas. The adaption of an alternate method of spectral analysis to a modest, low-dispersion spectrograph permitting observation of the profile of moderately broad emission lines from dense plasma in a single discharge is reported.
